And I've been doing it for 15+ years. Buying what can can be a maintenance nightmare for your first vehicle is probably not the best of ideas. Personnally, I'd buy a non-running Z and spend the time on this forum learning how to get it running again. You would learn some invaluable lessons on how to work on this car ++++ You would have a greater appreciation and respect for a project that you have poured your heart and soul into gettting it running just the way you want it. In the mean time, I would buy a late 90's import pick-up truck. Decent gas milage, and oh so handy when going to /coming from a swap meet with freshly pilferred parts. Just my .02
